Mouse Gene Set: GOCC_POSTSYNAPTIC_RECYCLING_ENDOSOME

For the Human gene set with the same name, see GOCC_POSTSYNAPTIC_RECYCLING_ENDOSOME

Standard name GOCC_POSTSYNAPTIC_RECYCLING_ENDOSOME
Systematic name MM12592
Brief description A recycling endosome of the postsynapse. In postsynaptic terminals with dendritic spines, it is typically located at the base of a dendritic spine. It is involved in recycling of neurotransmitter receptors to the postsynaptic membrane. In some cases at least, this recycling is activated by postsynaptic signaling and so can play a role in long term potentiation. [PMID:20820847]
