Human Gene Set: MA_BREAST_CANCER_TREG_RISK_GENES

Standard name MA_BREAST_CANCER_TREG_RISK_GENES
Systematic name M50225
Brief description Genes identified as 'risk' associated by Univariate Cox analysis of genes associated with Tregs in the TCGA breast cancer cohort.
Full description or abstract This gene set consists of regulatory T cell (Treg)-associated prognostic genes that are highly expressed in the high-risk breast cancer cohort. These genes are associated with pathways related to tumor progression and immunosuppression, including the JAK/STAT, TGF-beta, and Wnt signaling pathways. Their expression pattern is characteristic of a tumor microenvironment with high Tumor Immune Dysfunction and Exclusion (TIDE) scores, suggesting a high potential for immune evasion. In clinical models, higher expression of this set correlates with advanced TNM stages, poor overall survival, and a lack of sensitivity to both immunotherapy and standard chemotherapy.
