Genes identified as 'risk' associated by Univariate Cox analysis of genes associated with Tregs in the TCGA breast cancer cohort.
Full description or abstract
This gene set consists of regulatory T cell (Treg)-associated prognostic genes that are highly expressed in the high-risk breast cancer cohort. These genes are associated with pathways related to tumor progression and immunosuppression, including the JAK/STAT, TGF-beta, and Wnt signaling pathways. Their expression pattern is characteristic of a tumor microenvironment with high Tumor Immune Dysfunction and Exclusion (TIDE) scores, suggesting a high potential for immune evasion. In clinical models, higher expression of this set correlates with advanced TNM stages, poor overall survival, and a lack of sensitivity to both immunotherapy and standard chemotherapy.
